Teaching Overview
My teaching draws on the education literature for fostering a productive classroom environment and evidence from research in the cognitive science of learning, including spaced repetition, worked examples, and explicit modeling of study strategies, to build comprehension that goes beyond engagement. I view my role as designing scaffolded settings where students have the tools, direction, and motivation to develop genuine understanding for themselves.
